Village of Forges

The history of the site before the Middle Ages is not known. The Lordship of Forges is probably formed at the same time as the parish, in a country where then lies the forest. One and the other does not take long to be given to the priory of Cunault, which draws a lot of profit.

After several exchanges, the land becomes, in 1765, owned by Baron Foullon. It was at this time that the priest began the restoration of his church. Near the old church is a beautiful landscaped park, ideal for picnics.
