Village of the Ulmes

Installed a priory in the 12th century formed one of the main areas of the monks of the Abbey of St. Maur with Chapel Meigné. The church Ulmes, the greater part was built in the 11th century, is the only reminder of the old priory. The choir, the vault of the nave, the arched windows of the tower, and the architectural details are remarkable.

June 2, 1668, a miracle, remained famous long, took place in this church, the faithful in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance would have seen the bust of Christ, dressed in white, hands placed one on other. A pilgrimage recalling the miracle was revived in 1876 and since renewed several times. Today, the town has a small rich heritage (laundries, dolmens ...).
